🌿 Temperament & Handling
Belle Fourche Lady Vivien is an outstanding registered Dexter cow at Mountain Heritage Farm, blending Belle Fourche genetics with proven Dexter type. Compact and correct in conformation, she carries a level topline, balanced frame, and excellent feet and legs. Her affectionate temperament, A2/A2 milk protein, and homozygous polled status make her both easy to handle and highly desirable in a breeding program. With a functional, hand-milking udder and strong maternal instincts, Vivien represents the best of dual-purpose Dexter cattle.
Although I started Vivien's 2025 lactation milking her, the decision has been made to let her feed 2 calves this season. I may pick back up with milking her once they're 3-4 months old.

Lady Vivien's sire is Belle Fourche Guido
He is a small-statured bull, homozygous for both polled and A2 milk, with a great disposition. The udders on his sire’s side are especially suited for hand-milking with reasonable teat length without sacrificing teat structure. Guido was bred to provide additional capacity with higher and wider rear udder attachments and forward front udder attachments. The udders on both sides of his pedigree have held up extremely well.

Vivien Through the Years
Belle Fourche Lady Vivien is a very affectionate registered Dexter cow who knows her name and comes when called. She is milk-trained with a hand-milking udder, though her first lactation was dedicated to nursing her calf. With A2/A2 genetics, homozygous polled status, and strong Belle Fourche bloodlines, Vivien represents the best of dual-purpose Dexter cattle and will remain a valuable part of the Mountain Heritage Farm breeding program.
