Registered Dexter

Mountain Heritage Hazel is a registered Dexter heifer bred from Belle Fourche and MRALD lines. A carbon copy of her dam, Belle Fourche Tilly, Hazel is A2/A2, hetero-polled, and already carries the calm, gentle temperament we prize in future family milk cows. She represents the next generation of our breeding program — correct, productive, and backed by proven heritage.

Hazel Through the Years

Hazel is a striking example of the wild type red gene in Dexters and a carbon copy of her dam, Belle Fourche Tilly. She was born with a deep red coat accented by black "eyeliner," a black nose, and a black tail switch — markings that made her stand out from the start. Over time, those bold accents are softening as she transitions into the full expression of the rich, wild-type red coloring. This rare genetic expression is both eye-catching and a reminder of the strong heritage she carries, making Hazel a truly unique addition to our Dexter herd.
