Steers & Butcher Data
Mountain Heritage Farm
As we begin to butcher our steers, a "transport day" picture will be added along with all their statistics. This will help us make better breeding choices for freezer beef here on our Tennessee farm.
As an aside, we use beef-related names in rotation for our steers that are headed to freezer camp. You'll probably see them repeat with the year appended to the end to differentiate who is who.
- Chuck (roast)
- Reuben (sandwich)
- Stew (beef stew)
- Wellington (beef wellington)
- Phil (philly cheesesteak)
- Del (Delmonico steak)
